Cunning Moon

Daggers drawn, teeth bared,
the taste of blood, blinding.
Familiar fears, the words rain down,
cutting through, unwinding;
threads in knots, entangled still,
river of years, banished.
Cast your spell, cunning moon,
the ground beneath you vanished.
