What words to unravel invisible lines
Between and around, through eons of time
Nothing remains when nothing rings true
Perfect conditions for planting the new
Leave the dead voices, spitting from tongues
Stumbling, stilted, lost on the young
Gaze into their faces, stop to observe
The truth, in its essence, unshackled, preserved
Knowing, not knowing, clinging to Grace
Forgetting the wisdom they brought to this place
Cellular structures placed with precision
Breathing, alive, upholding the vision
Now fractured, shattered, blind on the road
Nothing and no one to speak to, no code
To measure resilience, genius and fire
Bidding the Devil inside us for hire
To knock down the walls, burn down the bridges
Bring to the surface our demons and witches
Each one a phantom, a shadowy figure
Digging, devouring, begging to linger
On Earth, in her starry, mid-life catharsis
Offering all an end to the harshness
If only the voices would silence, be still
Listen intently, exhaust the ill will
Break down the door, step outside illusion
See, hear and feel the end of confusion
Remembering now the original plan
To witness, experience, love and expand
Then will the words appear in the light
Powerful, poignant, sober, forthright
Spare, not for lack of insight or care
But spacious, adoring, adept and aware
